Abstract

The objective of this article is to expound on the thesis according to which the approaches and distances that the Colombian philosopher Santiago Castro-Gómez has had in relation to the thought of the Argentine philosopher Enrique Dussel, evidenced through his review, were a fundamental part in the construction of his vision decolonial politics, which he called transmodern democracy. This objective is intended to be achieved through a critical dialogue between these two authors around three analytical keys: people, democracy and transmodernity. This way, it will be concluded that the category of transmodernity is where there is a convergent point between both philosophic proposals.
