The present article is an approach to the trajectory of the young writers inside El Oásis, the first literary paper from the city of Medellín, emerged during the Liberal Radicalism, or more specifically, during the Conservative Hegemony created in Antioquia during that period. In it, the roles exercised by such juvenile figures are expressed and analyzed from two functions; Firstly, from their role as receptors, insofar as the same newspaper, from its birth, occupied as one of its main objectives the instruction of the new generations, product of the constant social, cultural and economic restructuring that the state was going through at that time. Subsequently, the role of young people as collaborators is studied, taking into account that a minimum fraction of them made some publications, both for and against certain positions of the founders of El Oásis. Thus, this text constitutes a linear exhibition of the scenarios in which the youth played directly or indirectly, making a parallel with the biography of the newspaper while is examinated the configuration of the ideal young, from the perspective of the hegemonic personalities from El Oasis.
