This article analyzes the training modalities implemented among nurses at the Príncipe de Asturias Municipal Hospital during the second wave of COVID-19 that hit the city of Córdoba - province of Córdoba, Argentina - in 2021. Based on a series of semi-structured interviews carried out between 2021 and 2023, we analyzed their institutional experience. We reviewed strategies, guidelines and training mechanisms and reconstructed peer learning dynamics based on recognizing the projects articulated in their nursing area since 2019. Then, we addressed how these configurations were put into practice in the context of the health crisis. We examined the role assumed by actors with hierarchical functions in the Nursing Department, reconstructing their experiences, achievements and obstacles, within the framework of a hospital created to respond to the needs of a large vulnerable social sector, located in the populous southern area of that provincial capital.
