About the Journal

Revista Ciencias y Humanidades (RCyH) began publication in 2015 as part of the work of the Centro de Estudios en Ciencias y Humanidades, created at the initiative of the Corporación Educativa Jorge Robledo. In its early stages, the journal was conceived as a platform for disseminating the academic reflections of school teachers; however, over time, its editorial orientation evolved and it became consolidated as a space for the circulation of academic and professional knowledge in the fields of the social sciences and humanities.

Currently, RCyH is an academic journal aimed at researchers, scholars, and professionals, with an interdisciplinary approach within the social sciences and humanities. The journal also maintains an openness to contributions from school teachers and university faculty, insofar as these contribute—through an academic perspective—to the reflection and transformation of education and the social sciences in both national and international contexts.

RCyH is a peer-reviewed academic serial publication with a biannual frequency (January–June and July–December). Its primary objective is to disseminate research findings and academic works that contribute to the development, critical reflection, and circulation of knowledge in the social sciences and humanities.

The journal is affiliated with the Centro de Estudios en Ciencias y Humanidades of the Corporación Jorge Robledo, the institution responsible for its funding, editorial management, and digital publication. RCyH is an open access journal: all content is freely available, and no fees are charged to authors for submission, peer review, or publication processes.

In line with its commitment to scholarly communication and long-term open access, the journal adopts formal digital preservation measures. To this end, it uses the preservation system provided by the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which ensures the secure and distributed archiving of published articles, guaranteeing their availability, integrity, and permanent access.
